Week 15 Blog – Eltiste

Here we are, its officially dead week which means finals week is next week and then summer is finally here. We presented our website to Katie this week as a practice presentation. Katie was able to guide us through what parts of our site were strong, and also which parts needed some work. It seems as though we need to fix more things than keep which is frustrating to a point because we have already worked hard to get to where we already are, but I know that we are capable of fixing most of the things Katie suggested to do. A big thing that needs to be fixed is the coloration of the site. We will have to work on making it more monotone and user friendly. We also had some formatting issues that will need to be addressed, but again that can be fixed too. Katie also noted that she was slightly disappointed with our lack of media (video and photo in particular.) I personally worked to get as much media as possible, but clearly things went a little haywire when the virus came upon us all so quickly. That limited access to the equipment we needed and it also limited other resources such as people to interviews and capture photos of because you know, social distancing had to happen. All in all, we are going to try to fix as much as we can and hope for the best when our final presentation rolls around next week.
