Week 4 Blog – Eltiste

We presented our project pitches this week. As a team, we compiled four great ideas to choose from for our final project. We discussed interracial relationship bias, college major bias, athletic bias, and law enforcement bias. Each of these ideas has a great foundation to build upon for the project. After presenting our ideas in front of the class, we received feedback about the ideas from Katie and other CoJMC staff. As a whole group, we have narrowed it down to the interracial relationships and the college major topics, but as a majority we are leaning towards the relationship topic. I think if we do decide to do this one it will be incredibly interesting and eye-opening for many of our fellow classmates, and others who may come across the end product of our final project. Personally, I am in an interracial relationship, so this will be a good time for me to share my story on this platform and educate others on this topic. We plan to dive much deeper into the entire project next week after we have completed our timeline and schedule for the rest of the semester. It should be a super fun and exciting project to complete!
